A very dear friend, whom I have yet had the priviledge to meet in person, tells me time and again that he loves my stories, that I should write more. I could never imaging sitting down to write a book. First, when would I have the time? With three kids, a cleaning service to run, a dog, a house to keep up with, a fiance` and his son and so many other things and people that fill my day. Then I think well what if I did write just in my spare time, what would I write about? So anyway I decided I would start small and try blogging.
I would love to tell you about one of my very best friends. His name is Alvaro. We met online about 3 or 4 years ago. Time flys so fast it's hard to remember just when we met. At the time I was in a bad marriage. I finally found a way out. Alvaro was there for me everyday, to help me stay strong and to help me get through the rough patches along the way. He is the most supportive friend I have. I am always coming up with things I'd like to try or do. Alvaro is not like some that say "whatever makes you happy." You know those people that give you the answer they think you want to hear. If he thinks it's good idea, he says so and he also tells me what he likes about it and other ways to enhance my ideas. But if doesn't like it, he tells me that too. Alvaro has a special gift of words and feelings combined that you always know he gives you his honest oppinion and does it in a way that it's never insulting.
The "Alvaros" of this world a far and few between. I'm so blessed to have him as a friend. I am very grateful that he is a part of my life each and everyday. And my wish for everyone is to have an Alvaro in your life too.
