We have been busy busy around here!
Matthew's new bedroom upstairs is all finished and he'll be moving in very soon.
He picked African Jungle Orange for his walls and black for the ceiling and trim.
Bob sanded the 100-year old grime off the wood floor and then I coated it with polyurethane.

The new project is- painting the living room.
Not an easy task for short gal.
Oh I'm about 5'5" and my ceilings are about 10feet. (I think)
Anyhoo I'm doing the old plaster walls in Decadent Brownie and the trim in Warm Caramel.
It's going to look really good!

Ever have one of those days where you're only out of bed a couple of minutes and have all ready added 5 things to your to-do list for the day? (pause washer is buzzing)

That is what my day is like today. Well most everyday is like this for me to be honest. This morning after walking the dogs I started in.

There was cleaning up Ruby's mess, dealing with last night's leftovers, dishes, laundry (still a work in progress) and I've made a pot of tea.

Now if the storm lets up and the yard dries out I need to mow the lawn. At least I don't have to water the flowers. I do need to find a nice place for my flamingos though. The living room really isn't the place for them.

I have been crocheting dish cloths like mad. Not that I need anymore. I have at least 10 in my kitchen! Crocheting is a great way for me to unwind. So now's there is the question of what to do with them. I suppose working on my online shop would be a really good idea. I haven't touched it in probably a month!

And you just know that Matt is going to pester me to clean out the back room later.

And then of course there will be dinner, more dishes, more dog walking.....

What's on your to-do list today?

Matthew's Room

Bob's been working away in Matthew's new room.
It doesn't seem like it has taken as long as Caitie's room.
Pics are not so great, but Bob has the walls framed out, electrical ran and insulation started.

There's still some junk. Fat man really needs a head.
This space is actually going to be Matt's closet.

Probably not much longer and Matthew will be moving upstairs.
Guess I better get busy on Hallie's room downstairs.

Caitie Moved In..

to her new room.
It just dawned on me that I haven't posted pics.
So here we go...

Ebay

Can I just take a minute to rant here?
Has anyone shopped on ebay lately?
I went shopping on ebay a couple moments ago for some "new" craft stuff. I would like to learn mixed media and one of the ladies at MJF is so sweet. She is going to be teaching us this craft.

So first I went to Wally-World to price some things. Ouch! (To some of it.) Then I thought I would check ebay. Well I could find some decent prices on initial bids, but shipping is RIDICULOUS! I mean I know the USPS has raised prices, but come on even the post offices prices aren't as high as what some of these people are charging.

I wonder if there is a craft supply swap or cheap craft supplies online somewhere? I shall go see. If any of you know a place, give me a holler. Thanks!

Learning to Knit

I didn't think I was ever going to get the hang of this. I really like knitting now. I still have more to learn. Knitting doesn't seem to go as quickly as crochet, but I like the tight knit stitches better.
This is a pic of a couple of dishrags I've made and a scarf I've been working on for the last couple days.

Now to see if I like the knitted dish cloth or the crocheted better.

Cat's Room

New pics of Caitlin's Room...

The window frame was finished today and the door frames for the closet and entry should be done tomorrow. Then we'll be down to installing the carpet and moving Cat upstairs.
